Citi in Kuala Lumpur is hiring an Operational Readiness Analyst to join the Data Management & System Operations team. You will lead data-driven initiatives across technology, product and operations to ensure funds-related processes run smoothly and efficiently.

The role emphasizes independent project work, analytical thinking, and clear communication with stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of experience in analytics or operations are preferred, with funds industry exposure a plus.

• Transfer Agency experience within the funds industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead project workstreams independently, driving tasks from requirements gathering through to delivery.
• Analyze internal and external market metrics to support decision-making across the function and client groups.
• Review data management items, including data quality issues, production reviews, and trending reports, to identify patterns and risks.
• Segment complex data sets based on customer behavior to inform targeted recommendations.
• Prepare data quality reports and present analytical findings to management, clearly communicating potential business impact.
• Identify operational risks and support compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.

As an Operational Readiness Analyst, you will work on business requirements and connect with technology, product, and operations teams, helping shape how Citi's funds-related processes run smoothly and efficiently. Working within the Business Analyst pool, you will lead project workstreams independently, translating data and stakeholder input into clear, actionable outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to apply your analytical skills to real operational challenges that directly affect service quality across the business.

• Lead project workstreams independently, driving tasks from requirements gathering through to delivery.
• Analyze internal and external market metrics to support decision-making across the function and client groups.
• Review data management items, including data quality issues, production reviews, and trending reports, to identify patterns and risks.
• Segment complex data sets based on customer behavior to inform targeted recommendations.
• Prepare data quality reports and present analytical findings to management, clearly communicating potential business impact.
• Recommend queries and reports that provide practical value to internal client groups.
• Identify operational risks and support compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in an analytical, operations, or business analysis role.
• Transfer Agency experience within the funds industry.
• Experience in the funds industry, covering general fund operations and processes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to lead project tasks independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex or variable data sets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across technology, product, and operations teams.
• Attention to detail when reviewing data, identifying issues, and shaping recommendations.
• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
