Operational Finance Specialist, Penang RSSC

Purpose of Position
To support Accounting and Controlling for APAC countries.

Key Tasks

1. Prepare journal entries and post them in CW1 or SAP ERP.
2. Prepare supporting documents for journal entries.
3. Upload supporting documents into CW1 or SAP ERP in a timely manner.
4. Prepare prepayment schedules, journals, and postings.
5. Prepare ABT files and perform reconciliations.
6. Conduct IFRS – Plannon reconciliations.
7. Record payroll, bonuses, benefits, and holiday allowance journal entries.
8. Prepare WIP & ACS files and post related journal entries.
9. Ensure the completeness of the closing process by following the monthly checklist and updating it accordingly.
10. Handle fixed asset creation and retirement.
11. Manage customs duty clearing and GST/VAT clearing.
12. Prepare SAP BPC/EPM reports.
13. Prepare SKF for allocation runs.
14. Perform monthly account reconciliations.
15. Conduct balance sheet reviews and presentations.
16. Follow up on balance sheet review action items.
17. Reconcile monthly intercompany variances.
18. Monitor AIF/SM35 processes.
19. Resolve interface issues between IT and Operations.
20. Provide support for other duties and projects as assigned.

Experience & Education

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification.
2. 3–5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field.
3. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently.
7. Capability to meet deadlines and deliver results within agreed timelines.
8. Strong communication skills—fluent in spoken and written English.
9. Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
10. Good interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with team members and business partners.
