Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for all electrical systems and civil works in the solar PV plant to ensure compliance with regulations and enhance system health.
  2. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on solar PV systems, including DC and LV components and connections.
  3. Attend to electrical breakdowns related to solar PV systems, initiate fault diagnosis, and implement corrective actions.
  4. Establish and maintain proper documentation and records for all corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
  5. Supervise and monitor related works performed by appointed contractors.
  6. Prepare reports for warranty claims on products such as inverters, PV modules, data loggers, etc.
  7. Provide regular reports on electricity production, system efficiency, maintenance activities, outages, inspection results, and equipment adjustments.
  8. Coordinate with government authorities like the Energy Commission (ST), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and electrical consultants on system-related issues.
  9. Liaise with vendors and contractors regarding warranty and product quality issues.
  10. Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
  11. Support project execution during and after construction phases.
  12. Assist with other O&M tasks across different solar projects as instructed.
  13. Provide full support during emergencies, including 24-hour availability, and during holidays such as Hari Raya.
  14. Working hours and days are subject to owner's arrangements.
Requirements
  1. At least 1 year of experience operating and controlling low voltage electrical equipment.
  2. Knowledge and skills in LV wiring installation.
  3. Strong understanding of electrical theory and troubleshooting skills.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  5. Knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and related regulations.
  6. Valid Chargeman A0/A1 certificate from the Energy Commission (ST) or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  7. Proficient in computer skills.
  8. Customer-oriented with good interpersonal skills and independence.
  9. Valid driving license D and ability to reside in Sitiawan, Perak, or willingness to relocate to Batu Gajah, Gopeng, or Penang.
  10. Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both verbal and written.
  11. Physically and mentally fit.
  12. Willing to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
  13. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
