As an Operations Lead you'll be joining a global leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of wear products and services for mining equipment.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring that our products consistently meet customer expectations in terms of quality, specifications, and timely delivery. You will lead the production and dispatch teams, driving operational excellence through structured processes, clear performance standards, and a strong focus on team development.
You will be responsible for overseeing all operations to ensure they are conducted safely and cost-effectively to achieve key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, and cost, all within Bradken's established policies and procedures. You will ensure that customer-centric, continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing resources, including personnel and materials, as well as planning and processing of products, are put into practice.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations to ensure they are carried out safely, efficiently, and within budget, while meeting key performance targets across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, aligned with Bradken’s established policies and standards. You will champion customer-focused improvements in resource utilization, material flow, and production planning.
With a strategic mindset, you will lead the site’s production and dispatch functions to achieve manufacturing objectives and uphold our promise of quality, price, and timely delivery. You’ll continuously assess work processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive operational efficiency across the board.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing working capital and raw materials within agreed levels, ensuring cost control practices are followed. Collaboration will be key. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, to address equipment reliability and preventive maintenance planning.
Regular reporting on operational performance (daily, weekly, and monthly) will be expected to demonstrate progress toward manufacturing goals and customer commitments.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Operations, or Manufacturing. A Master’s in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading operations within a heavy industry environment, preferably in the steel sector.
Over 8 years of experience managing a large and diverse workforce, including cross-functional team coordination, capability development, and employee engagement to meet operational targets and customer expectations.
Strong technical acumen with proven problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, with hands-on experience in managing related deliverables, including audits.
Demonstrated frontline leadership experience or relevant qualifications.
The role is based in Merlimau.
