About the role

SK KONG TRADING & TRANSPORT SDN BHD is seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Executive to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Pulau Meranti, Selangor. As the Operations Executive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our import/export and customs operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Coordinating and overseeing the import and export of goods, including liaising with freight forwarders, and other relevant parties
2. Ensuring compliance with all relevant import/export and customs regulations
3. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
4. Preparing and processing documentation related to import/export activities
5. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
6. Assisting with logistics planning
7. Providing administrative support to the operations team as needed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar operations or logistics role, preferably within the import/export or customs industry
• Strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and logistics operations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to produce detailed reports and documentation
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to handle complex operational challenges
• A collaborative and proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently
