Job summary

The Cigna Group's Cigna Healthcare division in Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to lead deep dive assessments and optimize workflows across our global operations. You will work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, using data-driven thinking, Agile and Lean principles, and strong stakeholder engagement to deliver measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in an operational role.
• Experience supporting business projects or improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Understanding of Agile and Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Create process maps, assess workflows, and identify gaps or structural issues that require improvement.
• Engage proactively with teams and systems to gather insights, analyse data, and support evidence-based recommendations.
• Design and present improvement proposals that enhance efficiency and operational outcomes across different business areas.
• Coordinate project plans, working with multiple stakeholders to test, validate, and implement process changes.
• Deliver changes effectively through clear presentations, documentation, training, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with change enabling teams—including Automation, Quality Assurance, Planning, NPS, Data & Analytics, Knowledge Xchange, and Learning & Development—to support delivery and measure impact after implementation.

About The Role

As a Process Engineer, you lead deep dive assessments and process review initiatives across operational areas to identify gaps, optimize workflows, and support improvement projects. You work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where creativity, data driven thinking, and strong stakeholder engagement are key. This role also supports cross functional project teams and contributes to continuous improvement within a diverse, global department comprising ISO 9001, Knowledge Xchange, and Process Engineering.

What You’ll Do

• Create process maps, assess current workflows, and identify gaps or structural issues that require improvement.
• Engage proactively with teams and systems to gather insights, analyse data, and support evidence-based recommendations.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 5 years of experience in an operational role at Cigna or a similar business.
• Experience supporting business projects, improvement initiatives, or acting as a subject matter expert.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work effectively in evolving environments, manage competing priorities, and follow work through to completion.
• Solid understanding of business processes, structures, and operational best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies.

• Knowledge of business process design and improvement techniques.
• Six Sigma certification, process automation exposure and project/change management experience.

Nice to Have (optional)

• Experience with project management or change leadership.
• Understanding of automation tools, AI solutions or digital process solutions.
• Post Graduation in Management or Project Management certification.
