Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Ipoh, Malaysia, seeks an experienced PCB designer to create and revise rigid, flex, and rigid/flex multilayer layouts with impedance-controlled routing.

You will conduct design reviews, generate production release documentation, and ensure libraries and documentation meet IPC and DFM standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years using Mentor Graphics PADs, Cadence, Expedition, and CAM350, plus CID+ and IPC 7351 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic design or equivalent training.
• 5+ years’ experience with Mentor Graphics PADs, Cadence, Expedition, and CAM350.
• Strong knowledge of IPC 7351 and footprint building.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit rigid, flex, and rigid/flex multilayer PCB designs.
• Conduct design reviews and document outputs.
• Ensure manufacturability and assembly through DFM/DFX feedback.
• Maintain PCB libraries, symbols, footprints, and documentation.
• Support project timelines and daily/weekly logs.
