Job summary

Samaiden Group is seeking a safety professional to ensure compliance with the HSE Management System on site in Malaysia. The role requires identifying hazards, assessing risks, implementing controls, and coordinating safety training for subcontractors.

The candidate will maintain ERP information, ensure welfare facilities are adequate, and liaise with DOSH and other authorities to address health and safety matters affecting workers. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.
• Minimum 2 years of working experiences in related field.
• Yellow Book certification is a MUST.
• Able to work on site as per required by the project team

Responsibilities

• Implement the requirements of the HSE Management System.
• Identify hazards and assess risks, then implement controls to eliminate dangers.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with the HSE Management System requirements.
• Maintain Emergency Response Plan information and distribute it to responsible parties.
• Ensure first aid and welfare facilities for workers are in good condition.
• Coordinate with Sub-Contractor on safety training for hazards introduced on site.
• Conduct site safety inspections and report corrective actions to HQ.
• Maintain safety activity diary and communicate safety information.
• Liaise with DOSH, Police and relevant government agencies on health, safety and security matters affecting workers.
