Job summary

TransPerfect Games in Malaysia is seeking passionate game testers to support client projects from indie to AAA titles. You will execute predefined test runs, document defects, and provide clear feedback to improve gameplay and quality.

This onsite, fixed-term role requires English writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a QA team to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality testing and insightful observations.

Qualifications

• Excellent written communication skills (especially in the English language)
• Ability to execute test cases and follow predefined test plans and testing procedures
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify, reproduce, and document defects
• Ability to think critically and identify inconsistencies, unexpected behaviors, and potential quality issues
• Ability to communicate testing results, defects, and observations clearly and professionally
• Ability to collaborate effectively with QA team members and other project stakeholders
• Ability to manage assigned workload and meet project deadlines

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned test cases using predefined test runs while adhering to the test plan
• Proactively suggest improvements to existing test cases, test suites, and execution approaches
• Participate in test strategy discussions and provide constructive feedback
• Professionally provide feedback on gameplay, fun factor, game balance, and overall player experience during project testing cycles, when requested by the client
• Record test results, including observed behaviors, defects, and deviations from expected results
• Collaborate with Automation Engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation and provide the necessary inputs for automation scripts
• Report and track defects using a defect tracking system, providing accurate and detailed information to assist in defect resolution
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects
• Work closely with QA Engineers and QA Leads to clarify test execution details, raise concerns, and provide feedback on test coverage and effectiveness
• Collaborate with QA Compliance Testers to ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements during testing
• Continuously update and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test environments
• Monitor and track test execution progress, providing timely status updates to relevant stakeholders
