Job description

1. Construction quality and compliance supervision

- Check whether the construction technology (such as waterproofing projects, tile laying, electrical wiring) complies with the design drawings and UBBL (building regulations) requirements.

- Supervise the contractors to comply with OSHA 1994 safety standards, including protection from high altitude operations, dust control and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Ensure that the material acceptance is consistent with the contract, and verify SIRIM certification and environmental standards (such as low VOC coatings).

2. Progress and cost control

- Formulate a construction schedule (Gantt chart) to coordinate the connection between water, electricity, woodworking, paint and other processes to avoid delays in construction periods.

- Manage project changes (Variation Order), assessing the impact on cost and progress.

3. Safety and risk management

- Regularly inspect construction sites, identify safety hazards (such as scaffolding stability, temporary electricity compliance), and urge rectification.

- Organize safety training to ensure that workers hold CIDB green card and safety operation certification.

4. Communication between customers and teams

- Report progress to customers regularly (such as acceptance of hidden projects) and handle on-site problems and complaints.

- Coordinate designers, contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate information transmission.

5. Document and report management

- Record daily construction logs (Site Diary), generate quality inspection reports and defect lists (Snag List).

- Assist in applying for CCC (Complete Compliance Certificate) and DBKL acceptance documents.

Job requirements

Educational background and experience

- Education: Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related majors Diploma/Degree.

- Experience: 1-2 years of on-site supervision experience in the construction and decoration industry, familiar with the residential/commercial project process.

Skills and Qualifications

- Proficient in using AutoCAD to view drawings and master basic project management tools (such as MS Project).

- Familiar with UBBL, OSHA, CIDB regulations and construction standards.

- Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication skills (English, Malay, Chinese as a bonus), able to coordinate multi-stakeholders.

- Quickly resolve on-site emergencies (such as material shortages, design conflicts).

- Qualification Certification (Priority):

- NIOSH Security Officer Certification, CIDB Class D License or Green Card.

Other requirements

- Able to adapt to the construction site environment (outdoor, dust, noise), and accept flexible working hours (may require overtime work on weekends).

- Hold a driver's license and can drive to different construction sites by yourself.
