Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks an experienced Safety & Health Officer to oversee health and safety on construction sites across Klang Valley, Nilai and Ipoh Perak.

You will ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, conduct toolbox talks, train crews, perform audits, and implement emergency plans.

Applicants must have Green Book registration and a relevant degree or diploma; own transport is required and willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Possess Green Book registration for safety position.
• Minimum at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and risk management practices.
• Familiar with OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and local safety standards.
• Ability to enforce safety discipline on site.
• Willing to work in Klang Valley Area & Outstation.
• Possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive OSH Programme to monitor and evaluate the project team and contractors in Occupational Safety & Health requirement, awareness and performance.
• Implement policies, activities, procedure, instructions as required by the Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994 - DOSH.
• Conduct tool box meetings and health & safety awareness training and ensure compliance and promote safe conduct of works.
• Ensure all work sites are safe and compliance with the CIDB requirements & company safety policies.
• Ensure the condition of all machineries and equipment are safe for operation in comply with JKKP regulations.
• Conduct safety audits as necessary on Implementation of safety & health procedures according to the standards.
• Monitor high-risk construction activities such as working at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, and hot works.
• Ensure emergency response procedures, first aid arrangements, and fire prevention measures are properly implemented on site.
• Identify, investigate and report accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses, conduct and recommend preventive measures in future.
• Implementation of all policies, procedures & instructions as relevant & required by the quality environmental system.
• Implementation of Waste management including monitor and inspect the equipment, ensure safety standards have met the requirement of DOE.
