Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Officer for a site-based role in Penang, Malaysia. You will manage day-to-day environmental monitoring, reporting, and coordination with third-party specialists.

This hands-on early-career position requires a relevant degree, 1–2 years’ construction environment experience, and CISEC or CESSWI certification. Working rights in Malaysia and 5.5-day week apply.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in construction and site-based environmental management.
• Experience with monitoring, sampling, reporting and liaising with authorities.
• CISEC or CESSWI certification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor environmental activities across the site and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate third-party laboratories and environmental specialists on site.
• Prepare clear site environmental reports, including rainfall data.
• Liaise with authorities to support project compliance.
• Work with site and technical teams to promote good environmental practice.
