Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a detail-driven Clerk of Work to oversee on-site construction activities, ensure adherence to project specifications, and comply with government regulations. You will inspect materials, monitor progress, and maintain accurate logbooks while coordinating with contractors, engineers, architects and surveyors.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, CIDB Green Card, and at least five years of construction experience; experience as CoW is

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• CIDB Green Card is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of construction project experience.
• Experience as CoW or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Excellent observational and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with building plans and regulations.
• Measure and quality check building materials, take samples, and verify workmanship.
• Identify design issues before they impact construction progress.
• Monitor the construction process and prepare progress reports for the client.
• Ensure timely delivery of construction projects and adherence to safety regulations.
• Coordinate liaison with contractors, engineers, architects and surveyors.
• Maintain a logbook of project progress and submit reports regularly.
• Supervise the workforce and oversee on-site construction activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the company as needed.
