Job summary

TDK Electronics is seeking a Financial Officer to manage reporting and inventory processes within their manufacturing operations. The role involves preparing financial documents, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with company standards. Candidates should possess accounting qualifications with experience in SAP, preferably having 2 years in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.

Qualifications

  • At least a LCCI Higher or Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of meeting tight reporting deadlines.

  • Preparation of inventory & scrap reports and monthly financial reports.
  • Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and cycle counts.
  • Assist with corporate finance and maintenance of suppliers' data.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of timely and accurate weekly, monthly, and consolidated inventory & scrap related reports.
  • Coordinate and perform monthly cycle counts with store & production, including reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate weekly & monthly reporting on Indirect Material & Maintenance, including analysis.
  • Process monthly inventory and journal entries, and perform inventory reconciliation, including scrap management.
  • Assist in updating standard prices for new purchased items in SAP.
  • Vouch supplier invoices against related documents (PO / DO, etc.), verify, and enter data into the system on time.
  • Assist with the fixed assets module, from application to month-end processes, including reporting and scheduling.
  • Handle month-end closing activities, including verifying journal entries, recurring transactions, and ledger analysis.
  • Prepare monthly audit schedules and statistics.
  • Maintain suppliers' master data.
  • Manage daily cash flow, including fund allocation, FX conversion, currency hedging, deposits, and payment schedules.
  • Verify invoices with/without PO, including accruals and supplier invoice reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly reports such as AP & AR aging, intercompany movements, and financial reports.
  • Assist with corporate finance, company secretarial, and insurance matters as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.
  • Liaise with bankers on banking matters.
  • Coordinate with internal & external auditors and staff at all levels.
  • Support accounting activities as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least a LCCI Higher / Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of meeting tight reporting deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Mandarin speaking skills are an advantage for liaising with China colleagues.
