Job Summary

To coordinate and implement Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Waste Management Plan (WMP), Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESCP), Environmental Management System (EMS) and any environmental related matters for BCEI project.

Key Responsibilities

  • To supervise the implemention of EMP, WMP, ESCP and EMS at project site.
  • To conduct environmental inspection and audit as planned.
  • To advice or propose to construction team the environmental control, preventive or corrective actions as and when necessary.
  • To assist during the enforcement visit by Authorities such as DOE, DID, Local Authority and etc.
  • To conduct environmental induction/ toolbox for all workers at site.
  • To provide environmental input for method statement preparation.
  • To tackle shortcoming in the EMP, WMP, ESCP, EMS and propose to Management of new methods/ steps to overcome it.
  • To monitor and verify the implementation of suitable corrective actions.
  • To attend kick-off meeting, SHE committee meeting, progress meeting and others related meeting at site.
  • To assist the SHE Manager for the preparation of any environmental related reports.
  • To join any SHE walkabout, laboratory sampling & monitoring and Third Party Audit (if any) at site.
  • To highlight any non-conformance/s to the process owner and ensure proper rectification work has been implemented.
  • To communicate all environmental related matters such as regulatory compliance etc. to the Management and workers.
  • To monitor the effectiveness of the EMP, WMP, ESCP and EMS implementation at project site.
  • To assist in conduct environmental in-house training.
  • To coordinate and monitor the implementation of Guided Self-Regulation (GSR) at project site.
  • To prepare, compile and maintain any environmental data and record.
  • To provide Sustainability Data input to Corporate Office (Headquarters) regularly.
  • To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
  • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.

Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant discipline/ Preferably Environmental Engineering or Science.

Skills & Abilities

  • Well versed in Environmental Management System.
  • Have effective communication skills.

Expected Minimum Years Of Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in environmental control management at construction site.
  • Preferable certified with CESSWI/ CISEC and CePSWaM
