Job summary

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Key Purpose of the Role: Increase qualified customer database for OEMs, system integrations, engineering companies, and Value Added Resellers (VARs). Follow up on sales leads, respond promptly to customer inquiries, provide sound consultation on MT’s product solutions and applications. Secure new customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. Expand market awareness of MT’s products & services and manage projects and customer relationships.

Strategic Outcome: Learn and apply product application and segment-specific knowledge. Successfully penetrate targeted segments, complete sales responsibilities, and regularly update sales tools and reports. Meet sales targets and KPIs. Combine technical knowledge with sales skills to articulate technology and product positioning, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Marketing
    • Manage existing accounts and update sales pipelines
    • Qualify database and update CRM
    • Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers; plan and organize sales calls
    • Identify customer requirements through rapport building and understanding key needs
    • Support Business Area Manager in marketing campaigns, lead generation, and management
    • Present product and technical information to potential and existing customers
  • Technical Advisory and Product Advocacy
    • Drive and manage project pipelines
    • Provide technical evaluations during the sales process, working with support teams
    • Become a key technical advisor and product advocate for MT products
    • Communicate regulatory compliance and applications effectively, demonstrating MT’s leadership
    • Engage with customers’ engineering teams to illustrate MT’s value propositions
    • Represent products at events like conferences and seminars
    • Train customer staff with technical information
    • Negotiate to reach mutually beneficial agreements with customers
  • Service Standards and Customer Relationship Management
    • Analyze and propose improvements in customer environments
    • Prepare cost estimates from blueprints and customer documents
    • Gain customer acceptance by demonstrating operational improvements
    • Maintain records of communication and sales activities in CRM

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering or related field
  • Basic knowledge of Control Instrumentation Systems (sensors, transmitters)
  • Knowledge of Data Communication Protocols (fieldbus, TCP/IP, analog & digital signals)
  • Minimum 2 years of technical sales experience; experience with System Integrators or OEMs is advantageous
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Understanding of sales & distribution, with project management skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial equipment sales within manufacturing
  • Understanding of manufacturing workflows and architecture
