Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a caring Childcare Teacher to support a safe, nurturing learning environment for young children. You will assist the lead teacher, plan age-appropriate activities, supervise play and meals, and help with daily routines to ensure smooth transitions.

The role also involves preparing teaching materials, maintaining a clean classroom, and using positive guidance strategies. Diploma/degree in Early Childhood Education is required, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Experience working with children is an advantage but not required.
• Patient, caring, responsible, and able to work in a team.
• Physically fit and able to supervise active young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and conducting age-appropriate activities.
• Supervise children during playtime, learning time, meals, and rest periods.
• Support children’s daily routines such as feeding, toileting, handwashing, and transitions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Prepare teaching materials and learning resources.
• Use positive behaviour guidance strategies.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and parents.
• Report any concerns or observations about children’s development to the lead teacher.
