Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Procure and store radiopharmaceuticals safely.
- Prepare and dispense radiopharmaceuticals using aseptic techniques.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all handling activities.
- Liaise with manufacturers regarding radiopharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities
- Procure and ensure proper and safe storage of all radiopharmaceuticals and associated materials/consumables and its final products; ensuring inventory control of stocks in the unit is within an acceptable turnover.
- Prepare, compound and dispense required radiopharmaceuticals with aseptic technique, ensuring strict compliance to protocols to ensure quality products. Perform quality control testing of products where required.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation in all aspects of radiopharmaceutical handling.
- Ensure that patients receive proper preparation before radiopharmaceutical administration and trouble-shooting unanticipated outcomes.
- Document product recall activities in response to errors, defects, complaints and other signs of quality problems.
- Performing functional checks of instruments, equipment, and devices and determining radiopharmaceutical quality and purity.
- Expected to liaise with radiopharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure a continuing provision of suitable radiopharmaceutical products to ensure continuity of service provision.
- Expected to provide advice to end users of issues relating to the safe and effective use of radioactive medicinal products, including storage conditions, formulation and potential adverse reactions.
Job scope / Qualifications
- Recognized Degree in Pharmacy by the Malaysian Pharmacy Board
- Registered with BKRP
- Fresh graduate and has undergone training/certification in nuclear pharmacy
