Job summary

CKD Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Section Head – NPI to lead the New Product Introduction function, overseeing NPI Engineers, Configuration Engineers and Quotation Engineers. You will drive project initiation through mass production, ensuring quality, cost and delivery targets are met.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive NPI experience and the ability to coordinate across Engineering, Production, QA, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
• 2–3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Strong experience in NPI, project management, product transfer or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in BOM, configuration control and engineering change management.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Experience in quotation, costing or engineering feasibility assessment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of NPI process, BOM/Configuration Management, Project Management, Manufacturing Process, PFMEA/Control Plan, Costing & Quotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from project initiation to mass production.
• Coordinate feasibility studies, product introduction, process readiness and production launch.
• Ensure NPI projects meet quality, cost, delivery and timing objectives.
• Review customer requirements, drawings, BOMs and technical documents.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation actions.
• Coordinate trial builds, pilot runs, engineering builds and production qualification.
• Lead cross-functional meetings for NPI projects and product launch readiness.
• Oversee Configuration Engineers and Quotation Engineers; manage workload and performance.
