Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG in Johor Bahru seeks a manufacturing specialist to develop and prepare concepts for PCBA and Final Assembly, defining flow, layout, and line setups.

You will translate product requirements into manufacturable production solutions with R&D and Process Engineering, validate tooling and routings, and drive improvements using lean methods to ensure timely serial production.

Qualifications

• Define and validate production processes, tooling, routings, and work instructions.
• Translate product and technical requirements into manufacturable production solutions.
• Provide data for prototype, pilot, and ramp-up builds.
• Apply DFM/DFA, Lean Manufacturing and line balancing to improve quality and efficiency.
• Track risks, deviations, yield, cycle time and milestones to ensure readiness.
• Ensure smooth handover to serial production by verifying equipment and resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare manufacturing concepts for PCBA and Final Assembly, including process flow, value stream, production layout, line setup, equipment, tools, fixtures, and workstations.
• Translate product and technical requirements into manufacturable production solutions with R&D, Process Engineering and Production.
• Define and validate production processes, tooling, process parameters, routings, work instructions, and production setup data for prototypes, pilots and ramp-up builds.
• Drive improvements by applying DFM/DFA, Lean Manufacturing, line balancing and structured problem solving to improve quality, cycle time and process stability.
• Create transparency on production readiness by tracking risks, deviations, yield, cycle time and milestones.
• Ensure a smooth handover to serial production by verifying equipment and resources before release.
