About the Role

Process incontestable and contestable major claims in individual life policies.

Position Objectives:
  • Ensure that the administration of Major Claims consistently meets department goals aligned with and contributing to the Corporate Strategy.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Process and settle incontestable and contestable major claims (e.g., Critical Illness, Total and Permanent Disability, Dismemberment, Death claims) within TAT and according to procedures and guidelines.
  • Review pending cases monthly and work to reduce pendency ratios as per targets.
  • Monitor OPAT savings by reviewing closed files and ensuring timely reversal of provisions. Aim for error rates below 0.25% from QC sampling and zero error recurrence.
  • Meet claims productivity benchmarks within authority limits, maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Respond promptly and satisfactorily to inquiries and emails.
  • Manage suspenses within 5 days.
  • Perform other duties, projects, or assignments as required by supervisors to meet operational needs.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • Independent, proactive, and self-motivated.
  • Customer service-oriented with positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Malay, spoken and written.
  • Good knowledge of claims assessments, FSA 2013, and technical skills.
