Job summary

Translation and Interpretation Services Company is seeking an Interpreter (100% Work from Home) based in Malaysia. You will perform consecutive interpretation across Cantonese, English and Cantonese for healthcare, financial and government calls, mainly during night shifts.

The role requires staying neutral, credible, and responsive to client instructions. Night shifts are 8 hours per online shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills for high accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client instructions closely.
• Ability to explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation between English and other languages for doctor-patient, banker and client scenarios.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render conversations in consecutive mode.
• Process information quickly and concisely while respecting cultural differences and remaining professional.
• Use appropriate industry terminology and follow standard procedures across healthcare, government, finance, and general business calls.
