Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a New Grad software engineer in Bayan Lepas, Penang, to design, build, test, and deploy Android-based solutions for mission-critical communications. You will contribute to features for our consumer and enterprise devices, collaborate with global teams, and participate in the full product lifecycle from definition to validation.

The role emphasizes real-time embedded software, Android tooling, and a strong foundation in MVP/MVVM patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Good knowledge of real-time embedded software development for communication devices.
• Strong programming skills in Android Java and Kotlin.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio and related tools.
• Familiarity with MVP/MVVM patterns and AOSP customizations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Android applications per requirements and UI/UX specs.
• Contribute to implementing new features and enhancing existing ones.
• Participate in all stages of the product development process from requirements to testing.
• Analyze software requirements within QA, time, and cost constraints.
• Coordinate and participate in software design and code reviews.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
• Collaborate with front-end and test teams to ensure robust solutions.
• Work in a multi-site global development environment and meet deliverables.
