Job summary

Manpower Malaysia seeks a network security professional to design, implement, and manage security controls across enterprise networks in Kuala Lumpur. You will work with Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco platforms, plus automation tools to strengthen defenses and support a Zero-Ops model.

Engaging with global teams, you’ll contribute to vulnerability management, incident response, and security planning while communicating clearly in English.

Qualifications

• H Hands-on experience with Palo Alto (Firewall, Panorama), Fortinet (Firewall, FortiManager), and Cisco security solutions (ASA, FTD, FMC).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, OSI, routing, switching, and ACLs.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, encryption, authentication, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Experience with Internet Gateway technologies, site-to-site connectivity, VPNs, NAT, DMZ, certificate management, and related security architectures is advantageous.
• Experience with automation and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Python, REST APIs, Jenkins, Jinja2, and YAML is highly desirable.
• CI/CD concepts and cloud network security services in AWS and Azure are a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto PCNSA, Fortinet FCA/FCSS/NSE, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security are preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently within a global virtual team.
• Strong analytical, multitasking, prioritization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security strategies across industrial network environments, including internal and external connectivity.
• Operate, maintain, upgrade, and patch security platforms such as Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls and related management systems.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging cybersecurity technologies, best practices, and security controls.
• Develop and manage network security infrastructure using automation, DevOps methodologies, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Contribute to operational efficiency initiatives by creating solutions that reduce manual effort and support a Zero-Ops operating model.
• Perform security monitoring, incident analysis, incident response activities, and vulnerability management processes.
• Assess security advisories and vulnerabilities, providing recommendations, risk mitigation strategies, and remediation support.
• Participate in vulnerability assessments, security investigations, and response planning activities.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, project stakeholders, vendors, and internal customers to deliver secure technology solutions.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, standards, procedures, and support processes.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis and support ad-hoc overtime requirements when necessary.

• Exposure to CI/CD concepts and cloud network security services within AWS and Azure environments is a plus.
• Relevant industry certifications such as Palo Alto PCNSA, Fortinet FCA/FCSS/NSE, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security are preferred.
