Responsibilities

• Network Security Design and Implementation:
  
  
  
  • Designing and implementing security solutions for firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN and other security devices.
  
  
  • Developing and enforcing security policies: Establishing rules and guidelines for network access, data handling, and overall security posture.
  
  
  • Integrating security into network infrastructure based on Zurich standard.
  
  
  
  


• Network Security Monitoring and Maintenance:
  
  
  
  • Monitoring network traffic and security logs: Identifying suspicious activity, potential breaches, and policy violations.
  
  
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of security controls and identifying vulnerabilities.
  
  
  • Patching and updating systems: Ensuring systems are up to date with the latest security patches and software updates.
  
  
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security appliances.
  
  
  
  


• Incident Response and Recovery:
  
  
  
  • Resolving security incidents from audit findings.
  
  
  • Recovering from security incidents: Restoring systems and data after a security breach or system failure.
  
  
  
  


• Security Awareness and Training:
  
  
  
  • Educating users on security best practices: Raising awareness about phishing scams, social engineering, and other threats.
  
  
  • Ensuring users understand and adhere to the organization's security guidelines.
  
  
  
  


• Managing network appliances:
  
  
  
  • Maintenance and administration of existing network devices.
  
  
  • Implementing network equipment for either new deployments or expansion, based on requirements.
  
  
  • Manage firmware of network devices, identify and update firmware as required periodically and when needed.
  
  
  
  


• Other Key Responsibilities:
  
  
  
  • Collaboration with other IT teams: Working with system administrators, application developers and other IT professionals to ensure a secure and reliable network.
  
  
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest security threats and technologies.
  
  
  • Documenting security policies, procedures, and configurations: Maintaining accurate records of the network's security posture.
  
  
  • Maintaining accurate records of network diagrams.
