Role Description The Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain wireless and IP network infrastructures that support VSD Communications’ customers. This full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam involves configuring and optimizing network equipment, monitoring performance, and proactively resolving issues to ensure high availability. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, supporting network deployments and upgrades, troubleshooting connectivity and security problems, and documenting network configurations and standards. The Network Engineer will collaborate with project and support teams, participate in incident response, and provide technical input for proposals and solution designs aligned with customer requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Network Engineering and Network Design skills for planning, deploying, and optimizing wired and wireless solutions.
• Candidates should possess solid Network Administration skills for configuring devices, managing IP addressing, and maintaining network services.
• Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
• Candidates should possess Network Security skills to implement secure configurations, manage access controls, and support compliance with security policies.
• Relevant experience with wireless technologies (WiFi, LTE, wireless backhaul), routing and switching (e.g., VLANs, VPNs, QoS), and network monitoring tools.
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, wireless certifications) are an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site, perform occasional field work and site visits, manage multiple projects, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
