Job description

Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent.

Required languages: English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is the mandatory as need to coordinate with China supplier & customer.

Experience with multi-vendor network infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless controllers/APs, firewalls) including:

LAN Switches: HPE Aruba, Cisco or equivalent

Wireless: Aruba, Ruckus, Cisco or equivalent

Firewalls: WatchGuard, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent

Knowledge in firewall security best practices, including:

Access control lists (ACLs) and security policies

VPN setup (IPSec, SSL)

Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) features

Basic understanding of threat detection and incident response

IT networking certification (e.g., CCNA, Aruba Certified Associate / Professional (Network)(Campus Access) is an advantage

1–2 years' experience in network and firewall engineering preferred

Familiarity with LAN, WAN, and firewall security topologies

Passionate about technology and eager to learn

Good communication skills and willing to travel

Responsibility

Design, deploy, and analyze network and server infrastructure

Configure, deploy, secure, and maintain switches, wireless devices, and firewalls

Deliver assigned tasks within deadlines

Maintain and support existing network and firewall systems for customers

Conduct firewall security policy reviews, access control management, and threat monitoring

Collaborate with the team to propose technical solutions through self-study and deep networking knowledge
