Job Purpose and Impact

  • The MSC (Manufacturing & Supply Chain) Finance Analyst Food APAC - SEA, Food job applies in-depth knowledge to provide financial decision support and insight as the finance business partner to both management and operational teams for complex facilities. In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure results are timely, qualitative, analyzed, and understood. With limited supervision, this job drafts financial reports, analyzes financial data, and proposes recommendations on budgeting and forecasting processes. This job also participates in the continuous improvement of management information systems, reporting standards, and business metric development to drive data-informed business decisions.
Key Accountabilities
  • Provide finance business partnership for management teams by understanding and supporting strategic business priorities, challenges, and impacts within the assigned plants.

  • Understand, evaluate, and measure relevant cost drivers within plant operations to ensure the appropriate allocation of costs to products produced.

  • Operation and supply chain KPI reporting, analysis, and optimization.

  • Regional report draft & consolidate: Drafts and consolidates regional financial and non-financial reports for internal partners by gathering, prioritizing, and analyzing financial and non-financial data and key performance indicators.

  • Business performance tracking: Prepares reports and dashboards to track business performance against plans, budgets, forecasts, and other key performance indicators and draws linkages between non-financial key performance indicators and actual costs for effective tracking, analysis, and reporting.

  • Decision support: Identifies insights based on financial analysis and research to support strategic business decision-making.

  • Cost analysis: Analyzes costs associated with products, projects, or specific plants to help better understand cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.

  • Continuous improvement: Participates in continuous improvement initiatives within the department by researching industry trends and accounting standards and finding opportunities to improve data integrity and relevancy and to increase effectiveness and efficiency of management information systems and reporting standards. Involves in net productivity target setting and cost reduction initiatives.

  • Relationship management: Maintains positive relationships with business leaders and business teams to understand local and regional business needs.

  • Risk & control reporting: Reviews various complex reports including risk and mitigation controls reports, custom transaction code reports, and sensitive role reports for gap assessment and cleanup activities to identify and address any gaps, vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies in an organization's control environment.

  • Key partner to MSC leadership for a specific plant/facility.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with business leadership and business teams to develop a deep understanding of strategic priorities, business challenges, activities, and potential impact on financial statements.

  • Create partnerships across similar facilities in the region and develop plans to drive execution across various regional plants and share best practices.

Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of 6 - 7 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing cost drivers.
  • Experience with variance analysis statistical tools.
  • Experience working as FPA analyst/MSC FPA in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous working experience with SAP, Power BI, or Tableau; expert level MS Office skills.
  • Preferred experience from Agriculture/foods MFG industry, famous FMCG MNCs, Automotive, and Electronic industry.
