Job summary

Ria Money Transfer is seeking a skilled Database Administrator for the Malaysia Office to join the Global DBA team. The role focuses on MS SQL Server administration and operational database services.

You will handle on-call rotation, ensure backups, monitoring, and performance tuning, and collaborate across the USA and Spain teams to provide 24x7 coverage. The role is hybrid remote, with on-site presence required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as Microsoft SQL Server DBA on SQL Server 2016+
• Experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups and replication
• Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with SSRS/SSIS
• Proficiency in T-SQL or PowerShell scripting

Responsibilities

• Own, track and resolve database incidents within SLAs
• Review backups, maintenance, and monitoring reports daily
• Respond to alerts and escalations; collaborate with DB engineering on recurring issues
• Participate in on-site/on-call rotation including weekends
• Support 24x7 production coverage with USA and Spain DBA teams
• Work in hybrid remote role, on-site at least 3 days/week
