MRE Test Technician – DET Guzik & QMT (Rotating Shifts)

Job summary

WD is seeking an MRE Engineering Operator based in Penang. You will execute DET Guzik and QMT testing, support production and engineering with accurate data collection, analysis, troubleshooting, and tester buyoff to maintain quality and speed.

You will update test data, compile reports, and assist with NPI, SMO, and head/testing activities. A 12-hour rotating shift in a cleanroom environment will require collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Technical certificate or SPM/equivalent
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred
• Proficient in Windows MS Office; Excel macros a plus
• Good teamwork and cross-functional communication across departments

Responsibilities

• Perform DET Guzik & QMT tests and ensure timely results
• Maintain data collection, analysis, and tester buyoff
• Upload data to Online SPC and track test timings
• Pass down shift information clearly and manage handoffs
• Support NPI/SMO/test packaging and inventory tasks
• Adhere to safety and 7S lab practices
