Job description

Job Description:

As an MPD Technician (Workshop), you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of MPD systems and equipment in a workshop setting. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring all MPD gear is ready for field deployment, functioning reliably and safely according to operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and/or electrical assembly, maintenance, and testing of MPD systems including:
  • Chokes and choke manifolds
  • Rotating control devices (RCDs)
  • MPD control panels
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Pressure sensors and flow meters
  • Conduct diagnostic checks, calibrations, and functional tests on MPD equipment
  • Support repair and refurbishment of MPD components and units
  • Ensure compliance with safety and QA/QC procedures during all workshop activities
  • Assist with preparation of equipment for offshore or onshore deployment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance records and test results
  • Work collaboratively with workshop supervisors, engineers, and logistics personnel

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related discipline
  • Hands-on experience with oil and gas equipment; MPD system familiarity is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of workshop tools, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical wiring
  • Able to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Based in or able to relocate to Labuan. No Visa sponsorship provided.
