Founded in 1984 in Singapore, Fitson specializes in producing high-quality baby and mother care products for well-established international brands. Fitson offers comprehensive services, including design conceptualization, tool design & fabrication, product innovation, manufacturing, packaging, and delivery.

Responsibilities in this role include:

1. Developing and fabricating new moulds, jigs, and mechanical parts.
2. Modifying existing moulds, performing preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
3. Maintaining machines and providing engineering support to optimize plastic injection moulding processes for efficiency and troubleshooting.
4. Assisting the Department Manager in mould development and fabrication.
5. Enhancing existing tooling to improve machine and mould efficiency, aiming to reduce reject rates.
6. Setting up and operating EDM and CNC Milling machines to produce precision parts.
7. Interpreting blueprints and designs, programming machines according to specifications.
8. Planning and monitoring machining jobs as per project plans.
9. Carrying out machining tasks efficiently while meeting quality and delivery standards.
10. Conducting maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC & EDM machines to ensure smooth operation.
11. Providing feedback on quality issues for corrective actions.
12. Maintaining good housekeeping and safety standards in the toolroom.
13. Documenting daily operations.

Minimum requirements for success in this role:

• Minimum SPM/STPM/Diploma/Advanced/Degree or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience in plastic injection mould fabrication.
• Experience in fabricating and repairing moulds.
• Ability to operate CNC Milling, Grinding, and EDM machines.
• Knowledge of CAD and CAM software such as AutoCAD, UG, SolidWorks, Pro-E is a plus.
