We are seeking ambitious individuals to join our Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) team as Mortgage Specialist. This role involves working with colleagues to uphold HSBC Values and achieve our vision of becoming the world’s leading international bank.

The responsibilities include:

1. Growing the mortgage business and cross-selling retail banking products.
2. Referring potential Premier customers to Premier Relationship Bankers or Managers.
3. Consistently meeting individual performance expectations and striving for top sales performance.
4. Leading the Personal Banking proposition to identify opportunities and meet customer needs effectively, maximizing resources.
5. Growing the customer portfolio through generating mortgage business and referring Premier and Wealth needs.
6. Collaborating closely with branch Primary Bankers, Premier Relationship Bankers, and Managers to ensure continuous inward referrals.
7. Providing excellent customer engagement and service to meet high standards.
8. Ensuring accurate acquisition, updating, and maintenance of customer information.
9. Meeting Sales Quality Standards by minimizing errors and breaches.
10. Maintaining operational procedures within guidelines, audit, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications - External

• Minimum SPM qualification required.
• 1-3 years of experience in mortgage products within banks or financial institutions.
• Proven customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to analyze financial priorities and influence customer actions.
• Broad knowledge of financial planning and customer needs assessment.
• Understanding of the needs of the mass affluent customer segment.
• Knowledge of referral processes and Mortgage, Advance, and Premier propositions.
• Excellent sales management skills and customer focus.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and local language.
• Relevant professional and regulatory qualifications as required.
