A leading company in manufacturing seeks a Production Manager to oversee molding operations and ensure efficiency and compliance with standards. The role involves managing production plans, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring operator competencies. Responsibility
- Lead and oversee all molding production operations, ensuring strict adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory compliance to support efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
- Manage and coordinate daily production activities to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supporting departments to drive continuous improvement projects that enhance product performance, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines.
- Develop, implement, and monitor production plans to ensure achievement of performance objectives and departmental KPIs.
- Ensure production operators meet designated Units Per Hour (UPH) targets and optimize material usage to reduce waste.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with lean manufacturing principles and company objectives.
- Monitor and manage overtime and operational expenses to maintain cost-effective production.
- Assess competency requirements and ensure qualified personnel are assigned to handle chemicals, scheduled waste, and environmentally sensitive tasks.
- Identify skill gaps, define training needs, and implement structured development plans to enhance operator competencies and performance.
- Promptly address and resolve operational issues, personnel conflicts, and production disruptions to maintain a productive work environment.
- Lead 5S implementation across all work areas to uphold workplace organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) standards and the company’s Supplier Code of Conduct.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate superiors or management as necessary.
Authority
- Authorized to stop production in the event of high levels of non-conforming or defective products to prevent further quality issues.
