Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mobility Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in global mobility, employee relocation, and international assignments, ensuring the smooth transition of employees across borders. As part of your role, you will oversee expatriate programs, provide support to employees during relocation, and ensure compliance with immigration regulations, tax laws, company policies, and Social Security Organization (SOCSO) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage end-to-end mobility processes for employees on international assignments or relocations.
Work closely with HR, legal, tax, and immigration teams to ensure compliance with local laws and company policies.
Oversee relocation benefits, including housing, visa applications and tax equalization
Collaborate with relocation service providers and tax consultants to ensure a seamless relocation experience.
Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality services are delivered in line with company policies and employee expectations.
Ensure compliance with immigration regulations, tax laws, and company policies regarding international assignments and relocations.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to international assignments, including visas, work permits, and assignment letters.
Track employee mobility data and generate reports on assignment statuses, cost analysis, and program effectiveness.
Continuously evaluate and improve the mobility program to enhance efficiency, employee satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and changes in immigration laws to proactively adjust the mobility program.
Coordinate Socso application processes to ensure that employees' social security coverage and other statutory benefits are aligned with the requirements.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in global mobility, international HR, or employee relocation.
Familiarity with the Socso application process.
In-depth understanding of Malaysia immigration laws, tax policies, and best practices in relocation.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Capable of working independently and handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in managing complex expatriate and relocation programs.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive employee information.
Understanding of cross-cultural issues and the ability to assist employees with cultural adaptation.
