Gen is hiring for a Mobile Software Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to join the MoneyLion team. You will contribute to the MoneyLion mobile app with a focus on React Native, ensuring high quality, maintainable code and a great user experience.

The Kuala Lumpur office is a technology powerhouse for MoneyLion, valuing collaboration, documentation, and instrumentation to support a fast-growing user base.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience with building workable Mobile applications (React Native or Native), as well as NodeJS applications (server-side).
• Experience with Javascript (Typescript is a plus).
• Experience with third‑party libraries and APIs.
• Familiar with software product design lifecycles.
• Familiar with Functional Programming will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a cross-functional team to plan and develop new features for the MoneyLion mobile app.
• Gather specific business requirements and suggest proper technical solutions.
• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions.
• Support QA team on testing and debugging.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues that crop up in the app.
• Continuously to improve codes for achieving optimal performance of features.
• Eager to learn and stay up to date with latest design patterns, willing to share with team to succeed collectively.
