About the Role

MoneyLion was an early adopter of React Native. We currently maintain one of the richest React Native applications on the app stores. As a RN engineer, you’ll come to us having experienced many aspects of RN development, from state management to creating engaging interfaces.

The MoneyLion mobile team values good communication, documentation, and instrumentation. With a fast-growing user base and hundreds of thousands of daily active users, stability and excellent UX are our top priorities. You will be essential in contributing to the platform as a whole, ensuring our features perform well and look great. You’ll work closely with design, product, and the engineering team to ensure a holistic experience for our users and maintain a solid foundation to enhance our ML membership offerings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work with a cross-functional team to plan and develop new features for the MoneyLion mobile app.
2. Gather business requirements and suggest technical solutions.
3. Write unit and UI tests to ensure functionality.
4. Support QA testing and debugging.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve app issues.
6. Continuously improve code for optimal performance.
7. Stay updated with latest design patterns and share knowledge with the team.

About You

1. At least 1 year of experience as a software engineer.
2. Experience building mobile applications with React Native or native development, and NodeJS applications.
3. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
4. Familiarity with software product design lifecycle.
5. Knowledge of Functional Programming is a plus.
6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work well in a team environment.
8. BSc in Computer Science or relevant field.
