Ambition is seeking a DevOps engineer to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that powers AI at scale in a regional banking context. You will own end-to-end automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerised platforms on AWS, with collaboration across Singapore and Kuala Lumpur teams.

The role is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote) in Kuala Lumpur, requiring 4–5+ years of DevOps experience and strong OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and Python skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4 to 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes (must-have).
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Solid CI/CD pipeline experience across the full toolchain.
• Strong Linux and Bash skills, plus Python for automation.
• Knowledge of API integration and microservices architecture (must-have).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Elastic Stack, or OpenTelemetry.
• Banking experience is not required.

• Developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python and Linux shell scripting.
• Building and maintaining end-to-end DevOps pipelines with CI/CD tooling including Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and JIRA.
• Deploying and integrating AI models into production via containerised platforms, primarily OpenShift.
• Ensuring seamless cloud and on-premise integration on AWS.
• Implementing network security protocols to protect AI systems and data pipelines.
• Monitoring and optimising system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborating with data scientists, architects, and regional teams to translate AI workflows into robust engineering solutions.

Are you a DevOps engineer who wants to work at the intersection of infrastructure and artificial intelligence? If you enjoy architecting CI\/CD pipelines, running containerised platforms on AWS, and helping Generative and Agentic AI systems reach production, this role was built for you. ML experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

Join a newly created role in an enterprise analytics team at a leading regional bank, supporting the AI infrastructure behind Risk, Wealth, and Retail. You will work closely with experienced engineers and a regional counterpart in Singapore, and build real-world experience in large-scale banking AI. The setup is hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote), with a two-stage virtual interview process.

The Role

You will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure that brings Traditional AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions to life in a complex enterprise environment. This is a DevOps role, not a data science role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python and Linux shell scripting
• Building and maintaining end-to-end DevOps pipelines with CI\/CD tooling including Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and JIRA
• Deploying and integrating AI models into production via containerised platforms, primarily OpenShift
• Ensuring seamless cloud and on-premise integration on AWS
• Implementing network security protocols to protect AI systems and data pipelines
• Monitoring and optimising system performance, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborating with data scientists, architects, and the Singapore team to translate AI workflows into robust engineering solutions

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 4 to 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes (must-have)
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Solid CI\/CD pipeline experience across the full toolchain
• Strong Linux and Bash skills, plus Python for automation
• Knowledge of API integration and microservices architecture (must-have)
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Elastic Stack, or OpenTelemetry
• Banking experience is not required

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MLOps or deploying ML models
• Understanding of Generative AI concepts including prompt engineering and RAG pipelines

Priority to Malaysian citizens. Permanent role based in Kuala Lumpur.
