Job Role: Bartender / Mixologist

The Bartender is responsible for the efficient and professional service of food and beverages, ensuring guests receive optimum service in accordance with the standards, policies, and procedures of the hotel and Hilton.

What will I be doing?
  1. Maintain a high customer service focus by approaching your job with the customers always in mind.
  2. Have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both customers and colleagues.
  3. Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational/environmental procedures in the hotel.
  4. Actively promote the services and facilities of Hilton hotels to guests and suppliers of the hotel.
  5. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner that ensures your safety and that of others in your workplace.
  6. Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.
  7. Prepare beverages for other servers to serve to guests, and act as the cashier for the lounge.
  8. Confidently know the beverage menu contents and be able to explain them in detail to guests.
  9. Maintain proper and adequate setup of the bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking all beer, wine, spirits, and supplies based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
  10. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
  11. Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders.
  12. Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and practice prudent portion control.
  13. Check guests for proper identification and act upon guest inebriation as trained, demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
  14. Input orders into the register at the point of sale, create checks, and maintain accountability of all beverages served.
  15. Handle cash transactions, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed to balance all cash.
  16. Secure beverage, food, and equipment storage, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank.
  17. Complete product knowledge checklists.
  18. Know menu items of all outlets to recommend to guests and be aware of opening hours.
  19. Recommend other restaurants and city attractions to hotel guests.
  20. Follow up on guest questions or queries promptly and consult with your Manager if needed.
  21. Ensure all service procedures meet the required standards.
  22. Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of all areas in accordance with operating procedures.
  23. Take personal responsibility for the service experience of all guests in your area.
  24. Greet all guests politely, even if not assigned to your section.
  25. Prioritize guest service and display professional behavior at all times.
  26. Report accidents or incidents to the Supervisor/Manager.
  27. Perform any other duties as assigned.
