Qualifications

• Carry out repair and service of vehicles according to recommended repair and service standards set by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.
• Diagnose and detect mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Installation of basic accessories.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the workplace and upkeep of workshop hand-tools & special tools.
• Ensure repair and service jobs are performed within the time frame (promise time) indicated in the Repair Order (RO) to ensure timely completion of repairs and delivery to the customer.
• Comply with all workshop safety standards to protect against accidents, hazardous fluids, etc., including regular hoist inspections as per requirements and proper disposal of hazardous materials as per Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines.

Skills Required as a Service Technician:

• Knowledge of procedures for automotive repair and maintenance
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Able to use independent judgment to fix or propose solutions to problems in real time
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Contribute fully to team effort and play an integral part in the smooth running of workshop operations

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Be educated and/or certified: at least Higher Secondary, Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 1/2/3, Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent
• Preferably specialize in Engineering – Mechanical / Automotive or equivalent
• Hold a valid driving license
• Have at least 1 year of working experience in the related field
• Require good communication skills with a professional attitude and ability to work closely with workshop technicians
• Fresh graduates from automotive engineering are welcome
