Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Mid-Level Functional Consultant in banking data governance to drive key client workstreams, define business data rules, and map functional data flows alongside senior leads. • 5-8 years experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst in financial services.
• Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Management, or related discipline. Nice to have: Jira, Confluence, Excel/Visio, and exposure to Collibra, Purview, or Informatica.

Responsibilities

• Co-facilitate client workshops, conduct discovery sessions, document business requirements, FSDs, user stories, and operational processes. Translate business needs into actionable data governance deliverables.
• Compile and catalog business glossaries, metadata definitions, and taxonomies. Define data quality rules, thresholds, exception handling protocols, and document functional data lineage.
• Translate requirements into acceptance criteria, design UAT scenarios, manage testing cycles, maintain traceability matrices, and support scope change control.

Role Summary

• As a Mid-Level Functional Consultant at NTT DATA, you will drive key functional workstreams on client projects, focusing on banking data governance, data quality framework implementation, and business requirement definition. Working alongside Senior Leads and technical squads, you will independently manage stakeholder interviews, define business data rules, map functional data flows, and structure business glossaries.

Key Responsibilities - Business Analysis & Workshop Execution

• Co-facilitate client workshops, conduct discovery sessions, document business requirements, FSDs, user stories, and operational processes. Translate business needs into actionable data governance deliverables.

Business Glossary & Data Quality Frameworks

• Compile and catalog business glossaries, metadata definitions, and taxonomies. Define data quality rules, thresholds, exception handling protocols, and document functional data lineage.

Functional Delivery & Engineering Alignment

• Translate requirements into acceptance criteria, design UAT scenarios, manage testing cycles,maintaintraceability matrices, and support scope change control.

Core Competencies & Skills
