Job description

We are seeking a talented Microbiologist cum R&D Executive to join the Monoluxury team in our Genting Highlands facility. This is a full‑time position that will play a key role in advancing our research and development initiatives.

What you'll be doing
  • Conduct in‑depth microbiological research and analysis to support the development of new products and improve existing formulations.
  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and experiments to evaluate the efficacy, stability and safety of products.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate research findings into actionable product development strategies.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with the latest industry trends, regulations and best practices in microbiology and product development.
  • Document and maintain detailed records of all research activities, methodology and results.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations to support decision‑making processes.
  • Responsible for keeping and maintaining retained samples of all finished products and conduct shelf‑life test both Physical and Microbiological.
  • Responsible for inventory of laboratory equipment, testing and measuring device, reagents/chemicals and glassware.
  • Provide assistance for all activities of R&D or new product development and maintained/keep record in confidential.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in a microbiological laboratory setting, preferably within the manufacturing, food industry or R&D environment.
  • Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and techniques, including microbial identification, cell culture, and analytical instrumentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both scientific and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and following standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Preferred MJMM Registered Food Analyst.
