Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Production Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing, drive lean initiatives, ensure safety, quality, and cost targets, and develop cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Manufacturing, 8–10 years in manufacturing with at least 5 in leadership, strong Lean, EHS, and high-volume experience; proficiency in English; Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 8–10 years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a leadership/managerial role.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and EHS compliance.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing (e.g., cable, electronics).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in English; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and EHS policies.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and high performance across production teams.
• Monitor production KPIs (efficiency, scrap, downtime, OEE) and take corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance).
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, line leaders, and technicians.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and transfer projects with minimal disruption.
• Manage production budgets, manpower planning, and cost optimization.
