Key Accountabilities:

• Negotiate prices with approved vendors to obtain high-quality, cost-effective materials that meet Hershey’s requirements and specifications, with a focus on Malaysia operations.
• Evaluate alternative suppliers as needed to maintain competitive pricing.
• Lead cost-saving projects to improve product competitiveness and track progress towards cost-saving objectives.
• Support innovation in product development by assisting internal customers in identifying requirements and specifications, ensuring product availability during development stages.
• Manage, assess, and evaluate suppliers, providing periodic performance reports and maintaining good business relationships aligned with Hershey’s core values.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to prevent supply security issues and price increases.
• Maintain clear, direct, and timely communication with suppliers to foster strong relationships.
• Utilize SAP, ERP, BW, PCM, and other Hershey tools to determine standard costs, maintain purchase data, and analyze purchase price variances.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with Hershey’s Global Procurement Policy, proper documentation, and ethical standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive business experience, including 3+ years in procurement.
• Knowledge of purchasing principles, inventory analysis, and control.
• Experience in conducting RFQ/RFP processes and negotiation.
• Proficiency in computer systems and ability to learn new systems.
• Contract management skills.
• Strong sourcing skills and expertise, particularly in raw ingredients sourcing.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong financial acumen and business mindset.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and align on goals.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and internationally (up to 20%).
