Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a senior MES expert to lead design, implementation and continuous improvement of MES and MES extended solutions across the shopfloor, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and IT standards.

The role requires strong VB/C# .NET, SQL/Oracle, Tibco and web services expertise, plus experience in Agile/SCRUM. Hybrid work mode offered in Malaysia with cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, quality and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Requires Master/Bachelor/Professional degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• 5–8 years in software development or system analysis with shopfloor focus.
• Knowledge of Change/Incident/Demand Management and SDLC.
• 1–2 years of people management for juniors.
• Strong MES software knowledge and ERP integration experience.
• Proficient in VB/C# .NET, SQL/Oracle, Tibco, web services, IIS.
• Experience with Incident/Service Management, Release Management, Agile/SCRUM.
• Good written/spoken BM, English, Mandarin (optional).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvements of MES and MES extended solutions.
• Define architecture, integration patterns, and standards for MES solutions.
• Align solutions with manufacturing, quality, and IT standards.
• Own system designs and functional specifications.
• Act as main technical liaison with development centers.
• Lead shopfloor modeling, routing design, and MES master data strategy.
• Establish data standards and governance for integrity and scalability.
• Provide expert support for complex MES issues.
• Engage cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve production challenges.
• Lead ITAT and UAT for MES solutions.
• Develop training materials and deliver advanced training.
• Mentor junior engineers within MES domain.
• Define monitoring, maintenance, and high-availability strategies.
• Ensure minimal disruption and rapid recovery from incidents.
• Manage NPI and MES/shopfloor improvement projects within budget.
• Ensure 24x7 production support readiness and RCA.
