Grab is seeking a growth-focused leader to own and drive regional expansion in Johor Bahru. You will lead growth programs, collaborate across departments, and shape acquisition and channel strategies to build a high-impact sales operation onsite.

Qualifications

• Must be locally based in Johor Bahru.
• Bachelor's Degree (any).
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Years of experience: at least 5 years and above (Previous sales team leader experience is a necessary).
• Visionary, stay up to date with industry trends, and can respond to market changes quickly.
• A team player – you love talking to people and getting them excited.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of identifying, refining, and implementing business growth programs, working with growth teams to improve performance, refine operations, and lead regional expansion, while using market insights and data-driven strategies to achieve sustainable and impactful growth.
• You will report into the OC Growth & Commercial Manager be based in Johor Bahru, working onsite.
• Acquisition Strategy: you will develop and implement tailored strategies for managing the acquisition of non-managed merchant segments in the Johor region.
• Channel development: you will explore and establish new channels to acquire and manage new merchants within the Johor region.
• Pipeline Management: you will oversee the merchant acquisition pipeline and ensure development aligns with the regional strategic goals.
• Leading: you will lead the sales team, focusing on designing incentive structures and overseeing payout processes.
• Be Ahead of the curve: you will stay informed about the industry situation along with competitor activity as part of feedback and learning.
• Budget Management: you will oversee the budget for the region, ensuring allocation and spending achieve required effectiveness and achieving regional targets.
• Reporting and Performance Management: you will organize regular check-ins and reporting for the sales performance to ensure we stay ahead of our target and having a healthy sales run rate.
