GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. in Johor Bahru is seeking a Growth & Commercial Leader to own regional growth programs. You will drive acquisition strategies, refine operations, and lead expansion with data-driven methods. You will report to the OC Growth & Commercial Manager and work onsite in Johor Bahru.

The role requires 5+ years of sales leadership, a Bachelor’s degree, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Local presence is essential for success in this role.

• Bachelor's Degree (any) required.
• Minimum 5 years sales leadership experience.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Based in Johor Bahru and onsite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement acquisition strategies for non-managed merchant segments in Johor.
• Explore and establish new channels to acquire and manage merchants in Johor.
• Oversee the merchant acquisition pipeline and align with regional goals.
• Lead the sales team, designing incentive structures and payout processes.
• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity.
• Oversee regional budget allocation and spending effectiveness.
• Organize regular check-ins and reporting of sales performance.

• Take full ownership of identifying, refining, and implementing business growth programs, working with growth teams to improve performance, refine operations, and lead regional expansion, while using market insights and data-driven strategies to achieve sustainable and impactful growth.
• You will report into the OC Growth & Commercial Manager be based in Johor Bahru, working onsite.

The day-to-day activities:

• Acquisition Strategy: You will develop and implement tailored strategies for managing the acquisition of non-managed merchant segments in the Johor region.
• Channel development: You will explore and establish new channels to acquire and manage new merchants within the Johor region.
• Pipeline Management: You will oversee the merchant acquisition pipeline and ensure development aligns with the regional strategic goals.
• Leading: You will lead the sales team, focusing on designing incentive structures and overseeing payout processes.
• Be Ahead of the curve: You will stay informed about the industry situation along with competitor activity as part of feedback and learning.
• Budget Management: You will oversee the budget for the region, ensuring allocation and spending achieve required effectiveness and achieving regional targets.
• Reporting and Performance Management: You will organize regular check-ins and reporting for the sales performance to ensure we stay ahead of our target and having a healthy sales run rate.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Must be locally based in Johor Bahru
• Bachelor's Degree (any)
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Years of experience: at least 5 years and above (Previous sales team leader experience is a necessary)
• Visionary, stay up to date with industry trends, and can respond to market changes quickly
• A team player – you love talking to people and getting them excited
