This is a great opportunity to join a well-established Trading Company that is a strong player in its industry and has a strong presence in Asia. In line with their business expansion, they are looking to bring on board a dynamic merchant professional to join their SSC team in Kuala Lumpur.
The new role
Reporting directly to the Head of Merchant, you will be involved in driving the business development efforts in selected strategic categories as well as evaluating, negotiating, and acquiring key merchant partners that would support the company’s business plan and goals. You will be responsible for conducting market and potential clients’ research, developing ideas for merchant campaigns, managing campaigns process and execution, and exploring new business and market opportunities.
Requirements to succeed
The successful candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in Account/Client Management, Business Development or Partnership, ideally with commercial experience. You should have team management experience and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to think out of the box in conceptualizing ideas for merchant acquisition and management; creativity and logical thinking would be key.
