We’re looking for a passionate and people-centric Merchant Community Lead to build, engage, and grow a high-impact community of our most valuable merchants. You’ll champion relationships with star merchants, develop advocacy programs, and create a vibrant space for sharing, learning, and collaboration. Your work will strengthen brand trust, boost retention, and drive organic growth through merchant referrals and co-marketing opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Star Merchant Engagement & Relationship Building
- Identify and maintain close relationships with high-impact, brand-aligned merchants.
- Conduct regular check-ins with selected Star Merchants to gather insights, build trust, and uncover co-marketing or collaboration opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to turn merchant experiences into success stories for marketing, events, and brand campaigns.
- Coordinate merchant participation in strategic activities such as speaking opportunities, interviews, or spotlight features.
- Community Growth & Engagement
- Plan, launch, and manage community (Facebook group, WhatsApp group) for paid merchants, focused on support, sharing, and engagement.
- Cultivate meaningful conversations through structured content plans, bi-weekly discussions, and live sessions with experts or team members.
- Recruit merchants into the community during key customer touchpoints (e.g., onboarding, renewals).
- Ensure community guidelines and values are upheld while keeping conversations relevant and merchant-driven.
Who You Are
- A natural relationship builder who thrives on meaningful conversations and long-term connections.
- Experienced in managing communities or networks, especially in a B2B, retail, or ecommerce environment.
- Empathetic, organized, and proactive — able to handle multiple merchant relationships while driving structured engagement initiatives.
- Skilled in spotting collaboration opportunities and turning feedback into action.
- Passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and helping businesses grow through connection and knowledge-sharing.

Requirements
- 3–5 years experience in community management, customer/merchant success, partnerships, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ecommerce, retail SaaS, or merchant ecosystems is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English; Malay and Mandarin is a plus.
- Comfortable managing digital communities (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram) and in-person merchant meetings or events.
