Manage portfolio assigned and increase profitability/revenue
- Liaise with vendors for funded promo programs, merchant commission schemes, new products/features, etc.
- Identify bottlenecks and potential issues related to operations and content management processes, and deliver solutions to these issues.
- Evaluate strategic and partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Analyze data and develop initiatives to increase revenues/profitability on the portfolio and make decisions that build strong operational performance.
- Work across functions to tailor specific needs (e.g., customized reporting, marketing support, integrations).
- Deliver business improvement projects to create value for both the company and vendors.
- Drive operational excellence by working with vendors and operations teams.
- Form a team to support and sustain business expansion on this platform.
Operations
- Develop innovations, plan sales vs. targets, recover sales shortfalls, and implement mitigation plans.
- Conduct range reviews and undertake continuous improvement of the product offering through the platform.
- Stay updated on current market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify market opportunities.
- Create new item codes for every NPD and maintain necessary master files and system updates for ISF items.
- Visit stores regularly and perform market research on trends and competitor analysis.
- Create effective relationships with outlet staff through regular touchpoints.
- Ensure the CU and myNEWS brand image are upheld through planning and execution.
- Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned by superiors or management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess a recognized Bachelor's Degree in any field or a Diploma in Business/Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or an equivalent role.
- Experience in the F&B industry is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to speak other dialects such as Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs.
- Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals.
